METTLE OPS MISSION STATEMENT:
ARMOR for the Brave, GRIT for the Battle. Warfighters Serving Warfighters
Mettle Ops is using the acronyms ARMOR and GRIT to explain what we believe in. I’m going to go through each letter in a series of blogs and explain what each word is and what they mean to me.
A is for Accountability.
Accountability holds a dual meaning for me in the workplace. Mettle Ops is accountable to the warfighter, and I, in turn, am accountable to Mettle Ops.
Mettle Ops is committed to the safety and well-being of soldiers on the battlefield. Every contract we undertake carries the responsibility of protecting lives. This distinction sets defense contracting apart from other engineering fields. Rigorous engineering standards, comprehensive testing, and quality control are paramount for engineers. These factors play a crucial role in the design of vehicles, test fixtures, stands, and countless other components. Regardless of the project's scale, my work directly impacts the lives of soldiers, and I take this responsibility seriously. We are accountable to the warfighters.
Personally, I am accountable to Mettle Ops. I am dedicated to giving my best effort each day. My colleagues, managers, and supervisors rely on my contributions. When assigned tasks, I am committed to completing them to the best of my ability. This principle is fundamental to a productive workplace and requires constant attention.
Accountability is a core value that guides my work. I strive to uphold this commitment daily.
