Mettle Ops has been awarded an $87 million production contract

Madison Heights, MI – Army Contracting Command, Detroit Arsenal, Michigan awarded an $87,413,330 firm-fixed-price contract to Bigelow Family Holdings LLC DBA Mettle Ops for the production, testing and delivery of Reactive Armor Tiles. This opportunity allows Mettle Ops to continue in its mission of supporting the Warfighter and ensuring they have the best military equipment that American Patriots can design and produce.


Over the last year, Mettle Ops has acquired an integration facility, increased its team by over 20%, and won several impactful contracts for engineering services. The boundaries of the industry continue to be pushed as Mettle Ops is met with high praise, positive customer reviews, and ongoing satisfaction due to its innovation, transparency, and high standards in quality. Mettle Ops’ large network of Michigan small businesses result in many partnerships in design and production, leading to great strides for Michigan’s economy as capabilities increase.


Mettle Ops’ current Government Customers include but are not limited to: DEVCOM – Ground Vehicle Systems Center (GVSC), the Program Executive Office for Ground Combat Systems (PEO GCS), Marine Corps Systems Command, Defense Logistics Agency, the Program Executive Offices for Combat Support & Combat Services Support (PEO CS & CSS) and TACOM to include its depots, arsenals and FMS Directorate, and Robotics Systems Program Office.
