Investing Time in People

Written by Nicky King

Creating memories that last a lifetime! That brings a huge smile to my face! Nowadays, that is how many people like to spend their time and money. I prefer it over getting a “thing” that I will never need nor use. A perfect opportunity to plan an adventure with those you love. Fun that you eagerly anticipate, experience, and then remember for years to come! What an amazing gift!

Last year we planned a Disney vacation that took a 3-year old’s interests into mind! Heavy on the PRINCESSES, WINNIE THE POOH and TIGGER too. Half of the fun was in planning and determining how to save money and pay for it ahead of time. Stress free mixed with fun and adventure was our goal! We planned to spend 3 days in the parks and use days in between for sleeping in and resting by the pool. Perfectly planned and much needed by all! We stayed at an Airbnb which provided enough room to spread out. It also enabled us to buy groceries for breakfast and lunch … huge cost savings. Dinners were planned as an added adventure on rest days. Whether it was attending a Pirates dinner, Medieval Times, or a Luau near Daytona beach, we marveled at the shows and left with sufficiently filled tummies.

Even though much time and effort went into planning every day, it was so much fun. We purchased park maps from Amazon so that we could plan days with available show times, must-do rides, etc. It was organized to the exact time that we would need to hop over to another park to get the biggest benefit for the day. We even allowed Jaimes to watch videos of the rides so that she could be excited when we were finally standing in front of it waiting to get on. She was courageous and excited! What a joy to watch! My fondest memory must be when we witnessed Jaimes meeting the Disney characters. Something I will cherish for a lifetime!

Though this adventure is over, we will continue to cherish our unforgettable memories and work to plan more in the future.
